Bonjour classe!

Today, you have a variety of activities to choose from, but you must be working on French and not on materials for other classes. You do not need to spend the entire class on only one option. In fact, it would be better if you do more than one option so you work on a variety of activities.

Option One:
For the artists out there, take a piece of white computer paper. Design a cover for the menu for our French café activity. Use color, be neat, be creative. Take a look at some of the samples from Elm Place. Our café is going to be called "Chez Northwood." Make sure the name of the café is somewhere on the cover. Eventually, the designs that are well-made and creative and neatly done will be photocopied in color, laminated, and put on the cover of the menus we use for our café.

Option Two:
Challenge a classmate to a freerice.com competition. Start at the exact same time. See who can donate the most rice in 10 minutes.

FreeRice.com

Option Three:

Try your "ear" at listening to some songs, poems, and conversations that have interactive exercises to practice your listening comprehension. Below are several activities. Please make sure that you focus and that you use this opportunity to reinforce listening comprehension. You won't know every vocabulary word, and that's okay, You might also find some new songs that you enjoy as well as some songs we have already listened to in class.

1. With this song you listen to the song and click on the sentence that matches with the part of the song to which
you're listening. It goes quickly. So listen carefully. Les Bêtises le sfur Fais pas ci fais pas ça

2. With these songs, you pull the drop down menu to fill in the missing words for the song. The song goes fast, but you
can listen to it over and over. When you think you're done, click on "valider" at the bottom to check your answers.
Les Valises
Bizoo Eskimo

3. LIsten to this famous poem and use the drop down menu to fill in the missing words for the poem. (By the way, there's a lot of food vocabulary in the poem.) Dejeuner du matin

Option Four:
Go to Madame Young's Quia page and practice vocabulary for chapter 5.
